Member Authority & Representation

All members of USPD who are active or former law-enforcement, military, or public-safety professionals derive any legal authority solely from their respective employing agencies and official assignments, in accordance with applicable laws and policies.

No member is authorized to represent themselves as acting on behalf of USPD in any official, governmental, or law-enforcement capacity.
USPD credentials, badges, or identification materials are organizational identifiers only and may not be used to assert authority, conduct enforcement actions, or gain special access or privileges.

Purpose of the Organization

USPD exists exclusively for professional collaboration, education, standards discussion, and networking among qualified public-safety professionals.
