The Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team is an elite, highly trained unit within the Counterterrorism and Special Operations Bureau, operating under the USPD’s Special Operations Division. As a specialized force, SWAT is divided into units, each with distinct skills and operational capabilities to handle complex, high-risk situations and ensure community security.
With their motto, "Someone's gotta do it!" guiding their mission, SWAT members embody a relentless commitment to stepping up when no one else can. Whether it's executing high-risk warrants, resolving hostage situations, neutralizing active threats, or responding to terrorist activity, the team approaches each mission with precision, discipline, and the courage to face danger head-on. SWAT personnel undergo rigorous training in tactical maneuvers, advanced weaponry, crisis negotiation, and emergency medical aid, ensuring they're prepared for any scenario. Specialized Platoons
SWAT’s tactical reach is extended by specialized platoons:
A, B, C, and G Platoons conduct targeted patrols and surveillance in high-risk areas, focusing on crime suppression.
E Platoon comprises mounted officers who provide enhanced mobility during crowd management and patrols.
D Platoon serves as SWAT’s central counterterrorism unit, safeguarding high-profile events like award ceremonies and sporting events.
